This review is from: Stearns Watersport Classic Life Jacket (Sports) I actually ordered three of these: one for an adult male, one for an adult female, and one for a 12 year old--all in "universal" adult size. For me (adult male at 5'11", 190 pounds, 34" waist) this was quite uncomfortable even when adjusted to the loosest setting. Additionally, it rode up mercilessly in the back of my neck as I was kayaking. I have no way yet of judging its effectiveness as a floatation device. On an adult female (135#) it was reportedly no better. My 12 year old thought it was tolerable. I am wishing I had either ordered a higher priced item or just gotten one I could have tried on at the local EMS or LLBean.
