5.0 out of 5 stars Love it! Perfect fit and feel..., April 27, 2012
By
I'm about to order this for my husband and thought it might be helpful to share my experience wearing this... I have one and love the way it feels and fits. On a hot day in Georgia this is the perfect accessory to my Kayak on Lake Rabun. If you looking for lots of pockets look elsewhere - if you want comfort when paddling AND to be able to feel the breeze thru your jacket in the front and back with free rangle of motion - this is it. The vest adjusts for both tall, short, skinny and wide paddlers AND does have a zip pockets and a larger open one where I stick my gloves... I didn't mind spending the extra money for something you I don't mind wearing -- so I highly recommend this. I just wish it came in more colors - like yellow or RED! FWIW - I'm 4'11 looking forward to loosing weight thru paddling ;) - meaning- think female full-back shape and it is hard to find a vest that doesn't ride up to my nose when I sit down or am swimming! This adjusts perfectly for me and while I was in... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Spectacularly Light; Well Ventilated, April 22, 2012

I don't own this, but a friend does. It was recommended to him by 2x Olympic Gold-Medalist (in Sprint Kayaking) Greg Barton, who uses one himself. This thing is spectacularly light in weight and provides much ventilation for comfort on hot, muggy days. So at least for summer paddling, this thing is apparently super comfy. And that means you are more likely to wear it, which is important for PFDs. However, because it is so "breath-y", it may not provide as much warmth as you might like in early spring or late fall.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and light, August 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I wanted a light weight life jacket for kayaking. Since I go out on my boat every few days, it gets a lot of use. This is remarkably light and cool for active wear. And it still works. I tried it in the pool and it floats me fine. It is expensive and if you use one only a few times a summer, you can probably go cheaper. However, if you kayak or canoe a lot, get one of these.
